OXFORD -EMBA

When Oxford Comes Calling ...

Experience ... Knowledge ... Collaboration ... the three-in-one combination of the Said Business School #OxfordEMBA and ISS India partnership

ISS India had the wonderful opportunity of hosting an esteemed group of Executive MBA participants from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (UK) at the Corporate office a second year in a row. The visit by these internationally diverse, highly qualified and widely experienced professionals at CXO levels representing diverse sectors and industries gave us the unique opportunity to showcase our work and brand ourselves as market leaders in the service industry.

This year, Alex Augustine (CPCO) introduced ISS, Outsourcing and the FM Industry to the visitors; and presented on what People and Culture stands for at ISS India, the various initiatives being driven by the P&C team, digitization, challenges in the market and the way forward. The presentation was quite engaging and interactive as the participants were keen to know more about the various challenges of managing over 55,000 people and running such a huge business PAN India. The session was specifically mentioned to be an ‘eye-opener’ to the scale of the facilities industry. They found the information on recruitment, retention, training of our frontline colleagues and the concept of ISS Academy particularly interesting.

In the words of Alex, “ It was a great learning experience to present to a group with such vast knowledge and varied experience. Also, their inputs / questions helped us look at things from a broader and more profound perspective. Collaboration like these are highly appreciated and are always welcomed.”

The effort behind organising this visit came to fruition and can be best summarised in the words of one of the participants:

“The visit to ISS India was an eye-opener. It showed us how formalized the facilities management industry is. We were amazed at the scale of ISS operations. It is simply mesmerizing! It was interesting to see its deep investment in training and developing people. The candour and honesty with which Alex presented is deeply appreciated.”
