Why this campaign?
- Distribution of Road Safety Collaterals (leaflet) to the commuters.
- Distribution of Chocolates, Roses & Flowers to the Commuters.
- Explaining Road Safety methods and necessities to the commuters without helmets/seat belts.
This was an initiative by the ISS India HSE, Marketing and Learning & Development team to create awareness among the commuters on the occasion of National Road Safety Week in Indian subcontinent.
As part of Health Safety & Environment (HSE) awareness campaign on road safety, ISS Integrated Facility Services Pvt. Ltd. conducted “Road Safety Week” through out the country on first week of January in order to highlight and emphasize the need for safe roads travel by taking up activities to promote the concept.
The statistics indicate that over one lakh persons get killed every year in our country in road accidents causing loss of human lives and property and also causes tremendous mental trauma to the family of the deceased. Road Safety today is a key social & safety concern in India and we have a huge population of road commuters using 2 Wheeler & 4 Wheeler as a mode of transport daily.
During this campaign we used informative banners and leaflets. We distributed it to all those who were commuting on road in a planned, disciplined & professional way. People not wearing seat belts and Helmets were humbly approached with a Rose and were requested to follow traffic rules.
